Main parts of the “AS” braking system

  • Dual hose coupling, including steel cable
  • Accumulator in various sizes
  • Brake valve with manual release pump
  • Electric cabling
  • Load sensing valve, or fixed positions
  • Simple brake cylinders of various sizes for cam brake systems
  • Please note that the mechanical handbrake lever with associated brake cables is not shown in this illustration

Advantages of accumulator systems

  • The “AS” system is more compact than the “CTS” system in terms of installation
  • The “AS” system does not have a larger tank than the “CTS” system
  • The “AS” system does not require large combination brake cylinders
  • The “AS” system can also activate internal wheel cylinders together with pressure limiters
